In 1960, Patricia Neary was hand-picked by George Balanchine to be a dancer in New York City Ballet. During the course of her career Mr.B created two roles just for her: Rubies and Variations, and she would perform almost every ballerina role in the Balanchine repertoire. For the first time, Ms. Neary sits down on-camera to talk about her time with Mr. Balanchine. Interview by Lewis Segal.
