Jeffrey is a high-school graduate with an unclear and uncertain future. However, his life is about to take an unexpected turn, as he discovers an articulate and thought- provoking essay while at the local train station. Little does Jeffrey know that the essay will make him the most sought-after and esteemed collegiate in the country. As his overnight success escalates, he improves his relationship with his "Mom-ager" Kathy, finds a college sweetheart, and signs a lucrative book deal. Unbeknownst to Jeffrey are the problems which soon arise, including family conflicts, jealous classmates, rigors of fame and fortune, and the eventual revelations of his essay's origins.
