Zhiteyskoe delo (1976)

Consists of three short stories, united by the theme of war. The short story "Everyday Matters" is a melodrama based on the story of the same name by Andrei Platonov. Demobilized soldier Anton Gvozdarev is looking for his missing son. These searches lead the hero to the house of a widow, mother of three children. Novella "Where are you, love Dunyashov?" - writer Tendryakov recalls how during the war he corresponded with the girl Dunya, but fate separated them. Now he turns to the screen in the hope of finding out her fate. Novella "You Have Me" - winter 1944. The orphanage is being evacuated to another city. A teenage girl, on her way to her aunt, joins the train with orphanage children. This is how Sasha and Vitka meet.
