General Collatine unwittingly incites in his friend Prince Tarquin a burning desire for his beautiful and chaste wife, Lucrece the fair. But, Tarquin's pursuit of her is fraught with despair and the perils of spiritual damnation. This tragic tale is based on Shakespeare's poem 'The Rape of Lucrece' and narrated by the legendary Richard Burton.
