What happens when a story is told through an old amateur Video8 magnetic tape camera, in the hands of a young girl who, while recording actions and spaces, also investigates the feelings that upset her mother, the wrinkles, the tears, the kilometers that separate her from her destination? If with the video camera she also observes herself, what she likes and what she doesn't know, the lights and the reflections of the sun on the trees that pass by outside the window and thus tries to forget the reason why they set out on their journey? Neve's story is largely subjective and passes through the filter of the video camera in daughter's hand, an ante litteram selfie ideally set in the late 80s, in an indefinite past that represents the space of the story, of memory and fear. Through the valleys, the woods and the snowy ridges of the Dolomites, mother and daughter live the waves of a pain that cannot be governed, sublimating them in an image of fragile and eternal beauty.
