In a village in the Pyrenees during the Spanish post-war period, a group of maquis, anti-Francoist guerrillas, have the bad idea of taking over a post office. Inside, they meet Remedios Buendía, a woman who looks harmless in her wedding dress but hides strong fascist principles and a relentless determination not to let anyone walk all over her. Based on the French novel by Raymond Queneau, We Treat Women Too Well is the debut feature of Clara Bilbao.
