In 1917 Rangoon, Edward, a British civil servant, flees from his impending wedding with Molly. As he embarks on a journey across Asia, panic transforms into introspection, leaving him questioning the purpose of his existence. Meanwhile, Molly, undeterred by Edward's escape, sets off on her own adventure to find him. Their paths intertwine amidst the exotic landscapes of Asia, leading to unexpected revelations and self-discovery.
