About the re-opening of the dance palace Nalen or the National Palace, founded by the former athlete Gustaf "Topsy" Lindblom, who was CEO of Nalen between 1933 and 1960. During his time, Nalen was Stockholm's main entertainment palace, where all the great artists performed. The house is primarily associated with the golden years of Swedish jazz up to the mid-1960s, and Nalen became one of the Nordic region's leading jazz scenes during the 1940s and 1950s.
