Before It Ends (2023)

When a Folk High School is transformed into an internment camp for German refugees, the headmaster couple, Jakob and Lis, along with their children, find themselves in a daunting predicament. Should they assist the refugees or remain steadfast in the Danish resistance against the Germans? Before it Ends draws inspiration from true events, illustrating a dark moment in Denmark's history: the treatment of 250,000 German civilian refugees who arrived in the spring of 1945.
