Saman (2023)

Saman wakes up to an unexpected message from her husband that, due to socio-political restrictions, he can no longer go on living like this and if she does not find him home by tonight, he will never return. Saman spends the whole day in disbelief, fear and doubt about whether her husband departure means committing suicide or something else. Searching for a glimpse of hope, she visits friends who, in their own way, are suffering from solitude. She stays out in the streets all night long in order to delay returning home and facing the reality as long as possible. Finally, when sunrise comes, she reruns home and reflects about her destiny and the decision to end her suffering or to continue living.
