Life of A Zoe (2023)

Estranged for some time, 2 friends embark on a dangerous journey in the hopes of bettering their lives. Childhood friends Jean and James grow up impoverished. As an adult, James struggles to make ends meet in Chicago, thinking relocation is best, he heads back home to New York with his girl and son, when they are hit by a car. Meanwhile Jean is struggling to hold his position in the criminal underworld, when Russian gangsters start to threaten his operations. When James tries to get information from the accident he is introduced to his childhood friend Jean once again and Jean introduces James to the ugly side of organized insurance fraud and what it really means to be a Zoe. James despite having a criminal record chooses to follow his friend on a mission, where the best outcome is not guarantee.
