The charming entrepreneur Pascal Bernot invites his newly met vacation friends to a festive get-together in one of the many villas of the Bernot family. Smart, egocentric professional chess player Tobias Schmitt, dull fitness trainer Björn Johansson with his gossipy fashion influencer girlfriend Astrid Birke and Yelena Petrovna, the shy, geeky video games streamer arrive at the Bernot grounds. At dinner, Pascal mentions a late guest and begins to cough. Pascal's cough gets louder. He tensely gasps for air. Before anyone can intervene, the worst possible happens. Pascal dies. His face hits his last meal. The guests are in shock. Speechless. At that exact moment, the chaotic and astute detective William R. Windsor arrives just in time for another case.
