Madison Jacobs is an executive at Chester + Wade department store, this Christmas season she organizing a menswear fashion show for sponsor Paul Grant. Grant, a menswear supplier, has requested a further "outside the box" promotion tied to his sponsorship in wanting to appeal to the female shopper shopping for the men in her life. What Madison comes up with is instead of the traditional Santa Claus, to have a fashionable, younger "Styling Santa" providing the Christmas wishes to those female shoppers. As she has done for all her external talent including models for the fashion show, Madison has turned to Ethan Davis of Ethan Davis Talent Agency, he a childhood friend, to find that Santa for her. Already having troubles finding enthusiastic traditional Santas this season, Ethan is convinced by his assistant, makeup artist Matthew, to act incognito as that Styling Santa with hairpiece and fake beard and mustache. The reasons are twofold. First, as who he considers his closest friend, Ethan does not want to let Madison down. And second and arguably more importantly, Ethan has always loved Madison and Matthew believes Ethan has to show another side of himself to make her see him more than just a platonic friend. Madison indeed does not recognize him as his alter ego Rafe Hollifield, Ethan's cousin. But Ethan doesn't anticipate some complications. First, as Ethan and Rafe working closely with Madison, "they" may need to be in two places at the same time. Second, Adam, the overly officiant store security, doesn't trust this new person who does not seem to have any official background. And third, Madison may actually end up falling for non-existent Rafe, which may cause problems for Ethan in she not being able to see beyond the fact that he, a so-called friend, perpetrated a lie when the truth comes to light.
