Workshop (2022)

Safija Azzam, a Syrian immigrant living in the United States, attends a workshop run by successful author Richard Monroe. Safija exclusively writes young adult fantasy, but Richard pressures her into exploiting both the conflict in Syria and her refugee status because he believes that is the only way her creative work will reach success. With a book deal on the line, Safija must choose how she wants to represent herself and her work.
