Mete Gazoz was born into an archery-loving family. His father was an archer and wanted to go to Olympics. His mother was the manager of an archery school. He himself started archery at a very early age. Still, nobody was able to guess the magnitude of his future success in those days. Even though the roots of archery go back to ancient ages in Turkish history, there wasn't a significant success story. Mete found the way and won the Olympic gold medal at Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020. After the Olympics, his personal 'Victory Gesture' has spread around and become a trend around the world.
