Life is unpredictable, but what if you could schedule how and when you were going to die? Date of Death tells the story of an excited but nervous interviewee who schedules her death. Death is something that I, and many people, are afraid of. So making death in this film not only predictable, but a functioning, common business practice felt like a great commentary on the subject. The genre is surreal and comedic, but this also comes with a lot of dark humor consisting of jokes about death, murder and suicide. This film deals with the craziness of death in a surreal situation. We watch seemingly normal people casually discuss how they want to die, and figure out when to schedule it.
