Wetzlar's HISTORICAL OLD TOWN is the heart of the city, and it is where you'll find its museums and main sights. The city also boasts a significant LITERARY HISTORY. It was here, in the summer of 1772, that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was inspired to write one of his most famous works, "The Sorrows of Young Werther." Built in 1653, the Lottehaus, once the home of Charlotte Buff, the object of Goethe's unrequited affections, is now a museum with a permanent exhibition dedicated to his work. This short documentary explores the history of this town, how the "Lotte Haus" was created, and delves into the background story between the Lottehaus in Wetzlar and the Lotte World Tower in Seoul. The documentary is narrated and documented by the content creator, Young Man Kang, who explores the filmmaking process and the cultural significance of this project.
