Pandemic Paradox is an experimental, mixed media, autoethnography involving themes of uncertainty and hope. This film documents the director's life during the pandemic, from early March until late August of 2020. Putting himself at the center of the film, we see his life in northern Norway as juxtaposition to that of life portrayed, back home in the US. Using posts from social media, interviews and participant observation the viewer journeys from the early chaos and panic we felt when the pandemic began, to the ingenuity utilized by people to stay social with each other and the adaptation that occurred due to the pandemic. In the end, we must ask ourselves, "Will everything be fine?"
