Self-portrait with a gun is a coming-of-age short-film set in the Italian countryside in the early 2000s. A divorced father, Giuseppe, takes his 14-year-old son Giovanni on his first hunting trip. That day the boy will find the strength to disobey his father's imperatives for the first time, affirming his identity.
