Two boys attempt to repair their relationship in time for a tennis tournament; meanwhile, one of them grows wings out of his back. "It Feels Like This" is a 15-minute magical realism film bringing attention to the important themes of friendship and loneliness. In life, sharing hardships and getting your deepest secret off your back will help you to be able to live your life freely - but it's not easy, especially when the secret you carry happens to be a pair of wings. Two teenage boys battle with adolescence and coming of age. It centers around the idea that " a burden shared is a burned halved" which incidentally was the working title for our film. The story of coming into your own and standing with your own moral code is one done before but ours is unique not just because of the wings growing but also because of our approach putting our own thoughts feelings and story's into the charters. The two characters are Kane the boy growing wings and Lee the pushed aside friend who is dealing with his mother falling ill. The story shows both of their perspectives sympathetically and allows the audiences to connect with either or both of the characters fully.
