Bolt Cutters Make Great Friends is the story of a shy, introverted woman, Ey, trying to make a friend. It starts with Ey's typical week: working on her boss's farm, trying to connect with her aloof cat, TV dinners and fishing on the weekends. The only real problem in Ey's simple life is she's lonely. She attempts to make connections at work, there's one colleague that looks especially nice, Guy. But her negative expectation of how the encounter will occur keeps her from reaching out. One night, while falling asleep watching TV, she comes across an infomercial selling bolt cutters. Ey decides it's exactly what she needs to feel confident enough to make a friend. Will the bolt cutters get her the connection she longs for? How will she devise a plan to actually use them? What kind of friend could a person possibly make using bolt cutters?
