Out the Window (2021)

Out The Window is a story based in South Seattle, following two young boys and the hardships they face in an abusive household. Patrick is a 17 year old boy who lives with his younger brother Timothy, 11, and their abusive mother. Patrick was diagnosed as a child with Cerebral Palsy. Due to the condition, Patrick must rely on crutches to get around. His mother does not see him as a normal person,making his life a living hell. During one of their mother's outbursts, Timothy comes to the rescue and convinces Patrick to jump out of the bedroom window with him and leave their house to escape the reality in which they live in. The two boys manage to make it to a diner where they are able to discuss their home life. Patrick wants to fit in with everybody else, and be acknowledged for who he is. The two boys soon come face to face with the police due to their mother having reported them as missing. Once again, Patrick is faced with discrimination due to his disability thus leading to the boys making a run for it.
