Queen of Diamonds (1976)

"Queen of Diamonds" was shot on location in Africa, Germany and France with an international cast. It is both an exciting adventure story and a serious study of human emotions ranging from a lust for love, wealth and power. A beautiful woman with a passion for diamonds is a key figure in a large diamond smuggling operation. In a desperate attempt to extract herself from her criminal life, she marries a wealthy industrialist. She is shocked and disillusioned when she discovers the source of his wealth to be his illegitimate dealings, and once again she falls into the entrapments of her past. Her encounter with a young and handsome geologist develops into a love affair which finally gives her purpose and fills the void in her life. The story evolves into a bitter love triangle; a race for diamonds and an action filled chase over the continent. Each person involved allows nothing to stand in the way of his own ambition - brutal rape; infidelity and the murder of eight innocent men are all part of the dangerous game they play, for each one knows, the winner take all.
