A film of short films, with interviews of surviving children and teenagers, living in Clydebank, Old Kilpatrick and Dumbarton, in Scotland, at the time of the Blitz of 13-15 March 1941. The documentary is presented by Iain McGuinness in, this, his first feature-length film. Clydebank is the home of some of the world's finest-built ocean liners, and tens of millions of Singer sewing machines. However, during World War II, at the hands of the Luftwaffe, Clydebank suffered the worst destruction and civilian loss of life, in all of Scotland. Out of approximately 12,000 houses, only seven remained undamaged - with 4,000 completely destroyed, and 4,500 severely damaged. Including testimonies not found in other documentaries on the subject (some inspiring, some even amusing - but many emotional), these are their stories of the Blitz.
