This is a documentary made by a group of local youth from the gang-infested Cape Flats who started a garden during the COVID 19 pandemic, transforming not only their own lives but the lives of the surrounding community. The derelict land was a rat run used by gangsters until two local youngsters decided to turn it into a vegetable garden. The initiative quickly took off and helped people with addiction issues, unemployment and despair find meaning and helped establish a food kitchen for the indigent. The scheme has proved so successful in driving out gangsters and helping feed the local community that it is being copied in neighbouring communities in the Cape Flats.
