Bessé-Sur-Braye, located in the Sarthe, France, is a small village of 2,200 people. Though surrounded by peaceful nature, if you follow the traintracks to Arjowiggings, an industrial wasteland and a sinister canton take over. The plant closed two years ago : as a consequence, three people killed themselves, and six hundred were fired. In the empty buildings of the factory, the former employees bear witness to the violence of the liquidation. Everything changed, nothing did : the storefronts decay, and the inhabitants bear the pain of the past. The metallic sounds of the deserted factory toll the relentless bells of this central but outlying village, and blend with the tractors and the lowing cows.
