My Own Laughter (2016)

My Own Laughter is a Folkloric Drama following the final journey of an Elderly Woman who through the wisdom of old age, recognizes the beauty of her life even in its tragedy. Guided by the past through wartime Japan, she encounters the love of her life and the loss of that love. Through the passage of her own existence she becomes the incarnation of Budai - the Laughing Buddha. She imbues the age-old wisdom of the cosmic joke, the transcendent understanding of comic hindsight through the balance of Tragedy and Comedy that the experience of life unfolds.
