Eraser: Reborn (2022)

This action thriller reboot of "Eraser" (1996) follows U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard, who works as an 'eraser' staging fake deaths of protected witnesses until it's time for them to testify. When one witness, Rina, turns against her husband, a crime boss, she is transferred to Cape Town where appearances prove deceptive and things soon become muddied. A film loaded with violence that inevitably draws comparisons to the genre classics of the '90s that it appears to imitate.
