A large share of the plastic waste that gets thrown into rivers and oceans is transported by the sea currents and ends up on the coasts of the most northerly populated place on Earth: Svalbard. Every year, more than 20 tons of plastic waste is washed up here. The film shows the struggle by the inhabitants of Svalbard against the masses of plastic waste from across the planet.
