"Belladonna" is an experimental art film about marital violence. This film shows the strength and bravery that women have to get to start a new life. It's definitely not an easy journey but I want to convince them that it's worth it. Suicide or giving up are not the only possible solution to end with this violence. The story is about the fight and every emotion that women have to get through in order to be released from violence made by their love. We follow two women and one man: a couple in acroyoga, and a woman with dancing with her silks. - The woman in acroyoga is prisoner from her dear and love. She feels powerless, and weak. The man does everything as possible to avoid the escape of his wife, woman he loves so much, but where the violence rhythms their life. - The woman with her silk is wrapped. The silks are around her and make hard every movements that she does. Each movement provokes pain and suffering. With a touch of bravery, they meet and it gives strength and hope for both of them. They try to be free and move forward to write a new chapter of their life. This feeling of freedom and happiness surround their mind, even though they could still feel the hook from their love who catches them to reality. When the dancer tries to get a connexion with the flyer, the base grabs the flyer's head to avoid it. Torned and abandoned, both women goes deeper and deeper in their vicious circle. While the woman with her silk decides to end her life by dropping her silk, the woman in acroyoga comes back to his husband, knowing that she signs her death order. She's right ; after her coming back to her husband he decides to strangle her. Pain and last scream are leading the final mood.
