1980, Jerusalem. Yair, an introverted and stern Yemenite father and teacher, strictly manages both his life and classes. He strives to preserve traditions and instill them into the next generation. His son, Eliad, has difficulty learning and is frustrated by his failure to live up to his father's expectations. The Mori's wife is unhappy with his strict education methods and urges him to visit his own former teacher, his old and amusing uncle, for a Lesson where he returns to be a student and begins a personal reckoning.
