Mark Howitt's Ghost Dance (2021)

Mark Howitt's Ghost Dance is a full length album lyric video made into a movie styled musical journey. Ghost Dance is the story of ourselves, with parallel story-lines of a fallen angel, and a third story line runs parallel of that which is the "chosen one", the only human on the planet that can save the earth from imminent extinction by our own hands. Both the music of the album and the style of the video presentation was done in a progressive way, with the music akin to gothic folk and tribal chanting with a dark and somber visual journey to explain the current state of events in the world, and how we could be living much better lives. It is perhaps a message to humanity from the heavens and a portrait of our history. The angel in the story is sent to our planet to protect the chosen one, who spends his life searching for love and meaning in this life, only to meet the fate of us all at the end right as he finds love and happiness. Both the angel and main character, along with the you the listener, learn valuable lessons by the completion of Ghost Dance. In a time when most feel isolated and confused, know that we are all together in this one way or another. Have faith, for a world of mutual love and respect is within our grasp. Have hope, for you are not alone in this.
