The Suspect's Words (2018)

The story occurs on a snowy night in a city out west. A urea bag that has been "struggling" is hoisted up high. The snowfall continues to grow heavier and heavier, covering the vast expanse as far as the eyes can see. The ensuing cases of intimidation and "written cards" left by the black-clad men have left the city's top criminal investigator, criminal police chief Lin Xiaodong at a loss. The unexpected death of local elder Song Tao makes the case even more confusing, after which Su Hong, a single mother, and David Chen, a worker suffering from terminal illness, immediately surrender themselves. An unsettled case, two individuals that have turned themselves in. The case is blurred; in the end, who is the real murderer? The suspects say, things aren't what they seem.
