Rockford's Response (2020)

On March 13th, 2020, Breonna Taylor was shot by members of Louisville Police Department. On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was suffocated by Derek Chauvin of the Minneapolis Police Department. Following those wrongful deaths, members of the Rockford community have begun protesting the injustices faced by the black community. On May 30th, a peaceful protest occurred through the downtown area of Rockford, where members of community voiced their frustrations and marched through the city.
