Lombardo welcomes guests and the orchestra opens playing "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails" and continues with a chronological music review including: "The Continental" of 1934, "The Music Goes Down and Round," "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree," "June Is Busting Out All Over," "Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey?" sung by the Three Petticoats, "The Tennessee Waltz," and 1957's "Melody D'Amour," "Fascination," and "Around the World." Trout then reports from Times Square for the countdown to the New Year and the crowd sings "Auld Lang Syne." Back at the Roosevelt Grill, the guests sing along to "When the Saints Go Marching In."
