A young American woman is studying Spanish in the eclectic Madrid neighborhood of Lavapiés. She sets out on the simple task to buy a loaf of bread in her new language, but she finds herself lost in translation and caught in a race against time. On her journey, she finds resilience, humor, understanding - and makes some unexpected connections along the way.
