Ikshvaku (2021)

The story sets in a village called Ramadurga, Maara is a Dalit (formerly known as "untouchable"), a caste that sits at the lowest rung of our social ladder. The woman he falls in love with is Sharadha who belongs to Brahmin caste near the apex of the cast system. both runaway from their village and gets married. But, their marriage leads to violent consequence the "honour" killings. both kills, she gives a birth to a boy baby and calls him IKSHVAKU a name of the lord Rama's Dynasty (Suryavansha) before she dies. Muniya who is brother of Maara takes that boy and leaves ramadurga after that incident happens, both lives in a small house near a mountain, a few years later Muniya comes to know that he is suffering from health problem and understands that he will not live for a long time. He decides to leave Ikshvaku with his grandparents to look after him as his last days are nearing. But, Prabhakar shastry the grandfather of Ikshvaku not accepts to take him as his grandson because his father is a dalit, he insults Muniya and Ikshvaku and sends them out from his house. From this, Ikshvaku comes to know about his parents death, after few days muniya dies, Ikshvaku leaves that small house and goes to town along with Raju where he works in a condiment shop.
