At a party, a teen boy, while under the influence of drugs, falls into a swimming pool. Other teens rush to pull him out of the water and attempt CPR, but the boy ends up drowning.
At the beginning of the film, two teen girls play a "swatting" prank on a boy who lives across the street from one of the girls. The entire police force arrive and surround the house, guns drawn, and order the boy and his parents to come out with their hands up. The girls watch as they are taken into custody. It is later revealed that the family was so traumatized by the incident that they moved away.
