Your Own Good (2019)

Hugo, a 12 year old boy from the suburbs of New York, lives with his young energetic mom Daisy, and his incredibly protective father Wayne. His dad works so hard to provide for his family and keep them safe, so much so that he begins to abuse his wife emotionally and physically. As Wayne continues to be over protective and abusive towards daisy Hugo starts to lose his childlike spirit. Hugo demolishes his childhood swing and stands up for his mother for the 1st time in his life, he attempts to take back his childhood, and he kills his father Wayne with a single shot from Wayne's own gun.
