According to statistics, 1 in every 3 South-African mothers suffers from Postnatal Depression. Stom (Mute) offers a 'slice of life' perspective on a mother's journey following the birth of her first child. She anticipated that her baby would bring her the ultimate joy, but instead, she was looking down the dark hole of Postnatal Depression. She becomes more and more desperate for air until she is driven to an irrevocable escape.
