Japanese adaptation of Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced. The local town newspaper, "Asahi Times", printing a strange story about a murder on the personal advertisement column. "Notice of a murder. October 29th Friday 6:30pm, at KOMICHI NO YAKATA (KOMICHI Mansion). Looking forward to seeing those who are interested". People who live and work in KOMICHI NO YAKATA are thrilled to see the advertisement. They all believe that the announcement is merely an invitation for a game, and not an actual murder. Ms. Reiri, the land lady of the Mansion, is so excited for this mysterious advertisement. "Somebody is hosting a fun event. We have to make it as a special and fun party night!" Lately in town "Pretending murder game" was very popular. All the ladies and gents who regularly gather in KOMICHI NO YAKATA like to have fun game and enjoy the jokes. Therefore Ms. Reiri is expecting that many people will gather tonight after seeing this interesting advertisement, starts to get ready for the party with excitement. So the evening, as expected, many curious neighbors gathered in the KOMICHI NO YAKATA. When the clock hits 6:30 pm, the lights go out and a stranger comes in, saying "hands up!!". Then they hear gunshots. When the place is illuminated, a man lies dead on the floor. The guest of the night realize the advertisement was not a game but the man really was killed. "A murder at KOMICHI NO YAKATA" case is in charge of a detective Shokokuji (Mr. Ikki Sawamura). Together with his assistant Tatara (Mr. Yoshiyoshi Arakawa) and his team start investigating the case.
