Time Bomb (2007)

This one-hour documentary offers the voice, not only addressing the issue of pollution and contamination, but of the quiet evil that tears directly at the heart of man - that which keeps a life from being lived with dignity. The story of "Refinery" delivers an inspiring message even as it plays amidst a tale of the seemingly insurmountable. A striking combination of images evoke the rich tropical colors of the land, the human character of the personalities involved and most importantly, the dominating presence of the refinery itself. The documentary will make use also, of dramatic and rarely viewed footage of the infamous 1998 fire at Esmeraldas, which gives the documentary its name.
