Naan Devru (2019)

Mythical belief in a spirit worship ritual. Shivanna, a 40 year old man, has growing insecurities towards his young and beautiful wife Gowri. His marriage is on the verge of failing as he is incapable of fulfilling Gowri's dreams of becoming a mother. One day his suspicion turns accurate when he gets a hint of his wife's extra marital affair but does not confront her for the kind of person he is. He tries to convince the Priests to allow him to call the spirit into his body in the next ritual so he can ascertain the truth, protecting his self esteem and also not mortifying his wife, but he is humiliated by the Priests. The fact that they humiliated him and that his wife is having an affair with a Priest itself makes him paranoid and he takes the extreme step of hypnotizing himself to get into the character of God. The film progresses to question whether the ritual helped Shivanna find out the truth? Did the spirit really enter his body? Was Gowri having an affair or was it just his illusion?Let us see what happens.
