Doctor Who: Terror of the Vervoids (Special Edition) (2019)

Footage originally shot for the 1986 Doctor Who story, 'The Trial of a Time Lord' is here re-edited together with a new 5.1 surround soundtrack; newly shot model work and new CGI effects, to create a fresh adventure. Taking its title from the 1987 novel of the same name, in 'Terror of the Vervoids', the Doctor and his new friend Mel answer a distress call in deep space. The call has been sent from the luxury space-liner, the Hyperion III, where a sinister new life-form is about to bring death and disaster to the passengers and crew. Released exclusively on Blu Ray by BBC Studios in September 2019.
