Danny Coda, originally from Madison, Wisconsin and originally Daniel Emnace, has always been a black sheep in his structured, uptight surroundings. He fled his family and home as soon as he was able to gather the funds to do so, joining a punk band comprised of guys he met on the internet. Over the year of nonstop scummy gigs, late night rehearsals, and struggling to make it in the scene, he falls out of love with the music and into love with his bandmate Oscar. Feelings ensue - that end up mostly regrets.
