Deutschland extrem - Extremismus von rechts und links (2019)

They fight democratic Germany and want a different republic. Extremists of the left-wing and the right-wing challenge the constitutional state. Their violence can strike anyone. The one extreme side is about an allegedly pure race and Greater Germany fantasies, the other extreme side calls for a classless society and the destruction of national states. Scientists, investigative authorities and constitutional protectors are discovering similarities: whether in appearance, in the militant attitude and even in the enemy stereotypes such as globalization, liberal spirits, democrats, supranational companies or the United States of America, but also friendly sympathies for Russia. The documentary provides insights into their strategies, machinations and views by letting members of both ideologically extreme factions have their say.
