The Confrontation (2019)

Following his escape from imprisonment, Jean Valjean created a new identity for himself and has risen in social rank, thus hiding his true identity from inspector Javert's ever-scouring eye. After a heroic act of revealing his past identity to the world to save the life of a wrongly accused citizen, Jean Valjean and Javert meet face to face. Valjean had just promised the dying Fantine, moments before her death, that he would find and ensure the safety of her child, Cosette. Valjean begs Javert for three more days of freedom to give him time to fulfill this duty. Javert suspects this to be a ploy of escape and denies the request. With tensions rising, an epic duel breaks out between Jean Valjean and inspector Javert, but with an unexpected twist in an attempt to settle the matter once and for all.
