Crime & Punishment (2015)

Summer Light's take on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's psychological classic with just three actors. Dostoyevsky said that 'life is in ourselves and not in the external'. 'Crime and Punishment' is a compelling study on what can happen to a person whose focus becomes deeply negative. Watch for the characters that bring him light, for their compassion and resilience, and for Raskolnikov's ultimate choice to accept responsibility for the thoughts that led to the feelings that led to the deed itself, and to remember his humanity. Produced on a micro budget. Shooting took place over 6 days in February/March 2015.
