AMANDA is the story of a woman who tries to make sense of her rural life by defending her rights in the hectic era of the 80s in the Dominican Republic. She must fight against the accusatory fingers of the Church, society and even her husband. When she reaches a dead end in her life and seeking her liberation, she resorts to magical-religious entities.
