Povest nashikh dney (1959)

Aleksey Koval is chairman of one of the Ukrainian collective farms, who knows life well, seeks and finds all kinds of ways to improve the life of his villagers. Within him, an idea arise to abandon technical dependence on the MTS: the collective farm should have its own equipment. This new idea is crushingly criticized, but common sense prevails: all the collective farms support Koval's idea.
